The Apex XXL T-Bar is designed for HIC and SCS Compression Systems. This bar does not include a slit, giving you the chance to customise the bar height and compression system compatibility. SCS (Standard Compression System) • What it is: A strong, heavy-duty 4-bolt clamp that doubles as the compression unit itself. • How it works: A top cap and bolt inside the clamp tighten down directly onto the fork and the bottom of the handlebars. • Bar requirement: Requires handlebars without a slit at the bottom (or an SCS adapter if the bar has a slit). • Best for: Street riding and advanced riders who need maximum durability and strength. HIC (Hidden Internal Compression) • What it is: A clean, hidden compression setup that uses a star nut, a compression bolt, a top cap, and a specialized metal shim placed over the fork. • How it works: The compression bolt tightens from the top down into the fork's star nut, holding the fork and headset in place beneath an oversized clamp. • Bar requirement: Requires oversized handlebars (35mm outer diameter) with a slit at the bottom. • Best for: Park and all-around riding, offering a lighter and more balanced feel than SCS.
